Letter addressed to Dave Green at Geekstyle, name of charity removed:

Hi Dave,

Thank you for getting in touch, and thinking of supporting ******.

The short answer is yes we can, and are very happy to, receipt both
individual and corporate donations, so long as it is cost-efficient for us
to do so! ****** is delighted to accept donations from companies of
all sizes, and really appreciates this support.

However, you should know that the Charity's Act lays down legal guidelines
for any charity raising funds through a partnership with a company, through
which the company gains any commercial advantage, which would include an
association with the charity's name and logo.

This means that should you wish to mention a percentage contribution per
T-shirt sale, for example, on your website, this would be seen as a
commercial payment, not a donation. We would then need to have a 'Letter of
Agreement', which is something we could produce for you, and would include
payment details. In such cases, ****** would require a guaranteed
minimum income of £1,000 + vat (vat is reclaimable).

I hope that this answers your initial query, please get in touch if you would
like to make donations, or develop a more commercial fundraising
partnership.

Best wishes,

***** *****
